Biomechanical properties of the bone during implant placement

Abstract Background In this research the biomechanical properties of a bone model was examined. Porcine ribs are used as experimental model. The objective to investigate and compare before after implant placement. Methods samples were divided in three groups, Group 1 where ALL-ON-FOUR protocol during pre-drilling placing implants, 2 pre-drilling, implants not placed, 3 consisting intact bones served control group. Static dynamic loading applied for examining samples. Kruskal–Wallis statistical test post-hoc Mann–Whitney U performed analyze results. Results According results static loading, there no significant difference between implanted original ribs, however, toughness values decreased largely on account predrilling bones. analysis fatigue measurements by showed differences predrilled Conclusion pre-drilled much weaker both tests than natural or specimens. certain cycle behaved same way samples, which suggests that implantation have stabilized skeletal structure.
